Honored Artist of Belarus Ruslan Alekhno sharing impressions from performance at the Alina 2024 Festival
Honored Artist of Belarus Ruslan Alekhno took part in the “Two Sisters” performance at the Alina 2024 Festival in Minsk. The artist performed the song together with Natalya Podolskaya.
Ruslan Alekhno shared impressions from performance at the Alina 2024 Festival:
“This is not my first year of participation in the festival. I am so excited with that because for me, firstly, this is symbolical, because this festival takes place in 2024 within the framework of the Union State of Russia and Belarus. This cannot but inspire. And, fundamentally. rhythmic gymnastics. It's a very beautiful sport.”
The Honored Artist of Belarus explained why he is always pleased to appear at the stage within the framework of the international charitable festival.
“The very understanding of a child going in for rhythmic gymnastics at such a high level, participating in such festival — this is the holiday. Because, after all, this is like a kind of summing up, achieving certain results. This means years of work of the child and the teacher. It is impossible without loving sports, without loving rhythmic gymnastics. The children are hugely talented indeed and I want to tell you that it’s a great pleasure to perform with the children for us, for artists, because these gifted children are children of the future of our country. And that such festivals are held within the framework of the union state of Russia and Belarus. I often say this, we have common culture. We have traditional values. We have great history. We speak the same language. We understand each other with half a word.”
Ruslan also told us in more detail about the song he performs.
“The song we are singing in a duet with Natalya Podolskaya is named ‘Two sisters. Belarus and Russia.’ I call this song a kind of an unofficial anthem, no matter how strongly it is said, of the Union State of Russia and Belarus. It was written 20 years ago. This is the song about our nations, about our countries, about our culture.”
