Certificates from the Alina Kabaeva Charitable Foundation were presented to gymnasts at the Alina Kabaeva Champions Cup Grand Prix international tournament.Awards in the Will to Win nomination were presented to Veronika Malinina, Elina Barsukova, Anastasia Vornovitskaya, Nikole Rimarachin Diaz, Eva Chevtaeva, Anna Admakina, Sitanan Eakbunnasing, Yerzhan Togzhan, Susanne Valbuena, Vladislava Nikolaenko, Karina Kireeva, Alina Karaivan, Piyada Peeramatukorn, Sofia Bernar, Julianna Kushnir and Jimena Dominguez.Karolina Tarasova, Maria Yun, Sofia Ilteryakova, Elvira Krasnobaeva, Milena Schenyatskaya and Vladislava Sharonova got awards in the Artistry nomination.&nbsp;Mariia Borisova, Kira Yablochnikova, Arina Tkachuk, Ulyana Yanus and Silva Sargsyan received certificates for Elegance.Our congratulations!

The Alina Kabaeva Champions Cup Grand Prix is being held in Moscow. This tournament traditionally brings together best Russian gymnasts and representatives of other countries.&nbsp;Athletes from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Venezuela, Germany, Grenada, Israel, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, Luxembourg, Moldova, the UAE, Puerto Rico, Slovakia, the United States, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey and Uzbekistan came to Russia this time. Thanks to all of you for presenting the real festival for the viewers!We express gratitude to all the organizers, administrators and staff. You create the atmosphere of coziness and hospitality and all the attendees will keep it in their memory for long!We thank all the members of the judge panel for the concerted effort and fair evaluation of performances! Coach Alina Gusarova summed up the performances of the Academy students at the St. Petersburg championship.&nbsp;<blockquote>"First of all, we are glad that we came here. We haven’t performed on our home ground in our city for a long time, we are very glad that we did it now. Of course, not all the performances went well. But we have something to work on, we will try to make sure that everything works out at the next competition," the coach said.&nbsp;</blockquote>Alina told us what our gymnasts did well and what they still need to work on.<blockquote>"Veronika Malinina performed well overall. She passed all the events more or less except for clubs. Veronika Solomatina performed according to the candidates now. She was born in 2012. Karolina Pakhtusova tried very hard, she really wanted not to let us down. She really wanted to show her best. And this hyper-responsibility of hers, unfortunately, let her down today. Miroslava came with us to St. Petersburg to perform, to try out, because she performs very little, the more performances she has, the better. Lia Rodionova did a good job, she tried. She worked with Olga at the Academy, here I just helped her, suggested something if she needed it. She's great. She approached the competition responsibly, and she did well," she said.</blockquote>She also shared her goal for the Russian championship.&nbsp;<blockquote>"We will prepare hard, train, work on artistry, on the programs completely. So that the children come out confident, try hard, and do not make the mistakes that may have been made now," Alina said.&nbsp;</blockquote>The St.Petersburg Championship was held in the Zhemchuzhina Rhythmic Gymnastics Center from February 26 to March 1.

Coach Anastasia Kontareva assessed the performance of the Academy's students at the St. Petersburg Championship.&nbsp;<blockquote>"This event is one of the most important ones because the next contest is the Russian championship, and this competition is the qualification. I have noticed great progress of the girls that moved to the Sky Grace. They became even better, grew up. Their compositions stand out against the general background. And, certainly, it is interesting to watch them", she said.</blockquote>She also spoke about working with her student Alisa Panicheva, who took part in the interregional Sky Grace Tournament and received the right to perform at the All-Russian competition in Sirius.&nbsp;<blockquote>"She proved what she could at the Sky Grace competition. Certainly, she could have performed better because there were mistakes. This is because we changed exercises for the Sky Grace rules literally in a week before the competition, since they slightly differ. Definitely, it is more interesting for me under the new rules and under the Sky Grace rules, because exercises became livelier, artistry was added, the dance was added and charisma of the children was added in routines", she said.</blockquote>The St. Petersburg Championship was held from February 26 to March 1 in the Zhemchuzhina Rhythmic Gymnastics Center.

Academy student Lia Rodionova told what she remembers about the St.Petersburg championship.<blockquote>"I was very glad that I came here, to my hometown, to my school, where I trained. The girls greeted me very warmly, and so did the coach. I was very pleased to perform here, because the girls supported me, shouted, cheered for me, and the atmosphere here was very pleasant," Lia said.</blockquote>The gymnast thanked Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva and her coaches for their support and assistance in preparation.&nbsp;<blockquote>"Olga Minigalina and Evgenia&nbsp; Eliseeva helped me. I was told to look at the judges, not to lower my eyes. Even if it becomes difficult for me towards the end of the program, under no circumstances should I show it. And to go to the end, to hold on to everything. Many thanks to Alina Kabaeva, the entire Academy management,&nbsp; the coaches for such an opportunity to attend these competitions and for such support," she said.</blockquote>Lia Rodionova took third place in the clubs event at the St.Petersburg Championship. Angelina Ipatova from St. Petersburg will perform on behalf of the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association at the Alina Kabaeva Grand Prix Champions Cup.&nbsp;The gymnast told how she learned about her participation in the competition, which will be held in Moscow from March 2 to 7.&nbsp;<blockquote>"It was very unexpected for me when I was told this news. Tatyana Kolesnikova told me about it. And then I saw for myself that my name was on the Sky Grace team. I was very happy. I am very grateful to Sky Grace and Alina Kabaeva for this opportunity.&nbsp; For me, this is a great joy and responsibility, since the competition is important," Angelina said.</blockquote>The athlete also shared details of her preparation for the competition.&nbsp;<blockquote>"We are currently working on the programs that I will perform, working on artistry, on elements, on performing risks, skills, so that everything goes through beautiful transitions, into music and is performed with ease. Indeed, rhythmic gymnastics is, first and foremost, artistry. Not everyone can convey music, show images. It must be seamless and very beautiful. Karolina Pakhtusova, Veronika Solomatina, Liya Rodionova, Veronika Malinina, and Miroslava Monina from Penza that performs hors concours represent the Academy at the St. Petersburg championship.President of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation of the city Tatiana Kolesnikova told us how athletes changed that practiced in the Zhemchuzhina Rhythmic Gymnastics Center before and live and train in Sirius now:<blockquote>"The girls have very interesting programs. Their artistry has improved a lot. The programs have become like mini-performances. By the way, when Alina Kabaeva performed, she had a real show. She came out just like an artist. Is it possible not to be happy for the children when they find themselves in the best conditions? I think that they will grow up to be wonderful gymnasts and champions, of course, and good people, the most important thing is that they grow up. And everything is being done there for that."</blockquote>Tatiana Kolesnikova also shared her emotions from the victory of Mariia Borisova from St. Petersburg at the Russian championship and underscored the contribution of Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva to this success:<blockquote>"She worked very hard. And, of course, with the support of Alina Kabaeva, she breathed new strength, energy, her emotions into her. I was next to her on the floor when she brought her out together with her coach.
