Nikolay Tsiskaridze, the People’s Artist of Russia, visited the Alina 2024 Festival in the Academy
People’s Artist of Russia Nikolay Tsiskaridze was among guests of honor at the Alina 2024 Festival in the Academy.
He told us about Aaron Osawa-Horowitz, who participated in the routine dedicated to the 90th anniversary of rhythmic gymnastics.
“This is my student. He is a graduate of not only the school and academy, but also from my class - Aaron Osawa-Horowitz. The boy is absolutely unique and my most favorite, because if there is an ideal student, it is Aaron.”
Nikolay Tsiskaridze shared with us why he picked exactly Aaron for the dance with the ribbon.
“And when they asked me who I could recommend among the artists, who could perform the famous dance with a ribbon, which the great Asaf Messerer once danced in the 20s, I said, ‘Oh, I have a student, he’s definitely who you need. He is amazingly built, his physique is very similar to Asaf Messerer.’ And Arosha was invited, I’m very happy!
The People’s Artist also explained, what rhythmic gymnastics means to him.
“For me, overall, rhythmic gymnastics is an amazing combination of willpower, beauty, lightness and incredible labor. I never miss rhythmic gymnastics competitions. I’ve loved it since childhood, because sometimes you look and think, ‘No, this is impossible. This is a dream.’ Especially when group exercises appeared.”
In conclusion, Nikolay Tsiskaridze shared his impressions from the Alina 2024 Festival.
“I am very glad that this festival will go to Minsk, because there are a lot of people there who would like to see it. I'm sure it will be a huge success. I would like this to be seen in every capital of the world. So that they understand what beauty is.”
