Academy gymnasts Yana Zaikina and Karolina Tarasova talk about their performance at the Alina-2025 festival

This is not the first time the Academy students have taken part in the Alina festival.

Karolina Tarasova spoke about her Flowers production.

"This one is dedicated to two girls, whose call signs were Daisy and Cornflower. They fought against fascism," Karolina said.

Yana Zaikina shared the meaning behind this production.

"This performance symbolizes that at first we are all beautiful flowers, after that we are thorns. We show that we are not just beautiful, harmless flowers, but we can also fight back," Yana said.

Karolina noted that she feels responsibility not only when she is performing, but also during preparation.

"The festival is becoming much bigger every time. I feel like I'm performing at every rehearsal, because there's such a big hall there. There will be a lot of spectators, and I can’t let them down," she said.

Yana also shared what she feels when she steps onto the floor during the festival.

"Everything has become cooler, the performances have gotten better. When you go out, you realize that so many people are looking at you, it’s very scary to lose even on some little thing," the gymnast said.

Not only the singles from the Academy took part in the Flowers performance, but also the group team gymnasts.
