Gymnast Leyli Aghazade from Azerbaijan talks about her debut at the Alina festival

The bronze medalist of the European Championship Leyli Aghazade from Azerbaijan shared her impressions of her debut at the Alina-2025 festival and shared what she will remember about the festival. 

"Of course, I immediately agreed to participate in such a wonderful event. This is my first festival. I visited the training base every day, repeated, studied together with the coach with whom we flew here, and with Irina Zenovka. She was also in touch with us. Everything is so beautiful here. Everyone is so kind, and I am very pleased to be here. Just wow," she said.

She noted that this was her first trip to Russia.

"It’s my first time in Russia. My grandmother is a Russian language teacher. And my family is Russian-speaking, that's why I speak Russian so well," she said. 

Not only gymnasts from different regions of Russia took part in the Alina-2025 festival, but also athletes from countries such as Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
