How the EVGENIYA CUP, the rhythmic gymnastics tournament took place in Omsk. REN TV news segment
The second EVGENIYA CUP international tournament named after Evgenia Kanaeva took place in Omsk, April 28-20.
More than 200 gymnasts from 15 Russian regions, as well as from Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Belarus took part in the competition. Among athletes who performed at the EVGENIYA CUP, were those who fine-tuned their skills at the Academy, such as Karolina Tarasova from Donetsk and Cuban gymnasts Gretel Mendoza and Isabella Rojas.
The tournament was held according to two standards of rules at once, both Russian and international. Among the guests of the competition are legends of rhythmic gymnastics such as Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva and Russia’s Honored Coach Vera Shtelbaums, as well as Olympic silver medalist Yana Batyrshina.
