"Unique gymnasts will be performing in Shanghai." Ekaterina Gorokhova - about the Sky Grace tournament

Judge of the all-Russian New Generation competition, Ekaterina Gorokhova shared what she expects from the Sky Grace tournament, which will be held in Shanghai in November.

In China, Ekaterina will be the competition secretary.

"I’m incredibly happy to work with the entire team of Sky Grace. Naturally, I am only looking forward to new vivid impressions from this trip. Not only related to work, first, because they are very interesting gymnasts. All the gymnasts who will take part there are unique. There is some anxiety, some difficulties, because of the language, a slightly different culture, a different country. But, knowing how our Chinese partners conduct these competitions, I think that everything will go great and everyone will just enjoy it," Ekaterina said.

She noted that she was very interested in watching how contemporary gymnasts perform with a jump rope.

"I, like Alina Kabaeva, competed at the time when we had the pentathlon. And for us, for example, a jump rope is an integral object. Therefore, for example, I am interested in what modern gymnasts will do with these particular objects, because for us it was, as it were, one of the first objects, and we have all always worked with a jump rope, a hoop, a ball, clubs, and a ribbon. And here gymnasts competed for a very long period of time in four events - quadrathlon. Therefore, for me, first of all, it’s not so much about the judging, it’s namely just interest," she said.

The international Sky Grace-2023 tournament will be held in Shanghai, November 24-26.
