The silver medalist of the first stage of the Cup of the Strongest in the clubs final, Elizaveta Geraskina from Moscow, spoke about the image in this exercise:
"I really like clubs. I actually feel them as apparatus. And I think we hit the nail on the head with this exercise, I really enjoy doing it. I'm a shaman possessed by a demon, and I'm fighting my inner demon."
The athlete thanked the coaches who supported her at the tournament. The athlete trained with Vera Shatalina before moving to the Academy:
"I want to thank Evgeniya Mikhailovna for helping me here, preparing me, and guiding me through. She told me to always work using my head until the end and just try to show everything that I can do. And Elizaveta Markovna and Elizaveta Sergeevna were always in touch with me. I called Elizaveta Markovna before each of my performances and after. And she gave me comments and some advice. I want to say a big thank you to Evgeniya Mikhailovna for her help, and to Elizaveta Markovna and Elizaveta Sergeevna for always being in touch with me, even when they're not there. I'm very grateful to them for coaching me and supporting me. I love them very much! I also want to say a big thank you to Alina Maratovna, she always gives very valuable advice and helps me. I also want to say a big thank you to Vera Nikolaevna, she was at this competition and also gave me very valuable advice."
Liza also noted that she was glad that Alisa Stamat was back on the competition carpet:
"It's always nice to talk to all the girls. I think I haven't seen Alisa Stamat in a while. And then she came here, and we had a really good conversation."
