How are preparations for the Alina 2024 Festival in Minsk going on? Technical director Alexey Yushechkin is on the line

The technical director of the Alina-2024 festival in Belarus, Alexey Yushechkin, told us how to turn an ice arena into a performance area for gymnasts in just a few days.

"The hosting side helped us, first of all, the space because they quickly removed the hockey boards and covered the entire rink with special material. So that the installation crew could safely go out onto the ice."

The professional noted that the Minsk site will replicate the one in Sochi externally.

"Externally, we want to replicate the Sochi site. The final picture will be almost identical, because the second set of decorations arrived, the first set went to Sochi, the second set went here. They are identical, and our task is to turn the ice arena into the Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy, at least for such a short evening."

The Alina 2024 at the Minsk Area will be held as early as on March 5.
